Important: Frame Animator is a plugin for EmoteShowcase — a Windows desktop application. It is not standalone software. You must own EmoteShowcase to use this plugin. If you do not own it yet, purchase it here first.
What Is Frame Animator?
Frame Animator is a tool that converts a sequence of PNG frames into a production-ready animated GIF. It is designed specifically for emote artists who need to deliver animated emotes to streaming platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, and Discord. The plugin runs entirely inside EmoteShowcase and uses the same high-quality encoding pipeline as the rest of the suite.
Key Features
Frame-to-GIF Pipeline
Drag and drop your PNG frame sequence and the plugin assembles them into an animated GIF. Frames are sorted automatically by filename, and you can reorder, remove, or add more at any time.
Platform Presets
Export directly for Twitch (112x112, 56x56, 28x28), YouTube (64x64, 48x48, 32x32), or Discord (128x128, 64x64, 48x48). Each preset includes the original frame size so you always keep a master copy. All sizes are delivered in a single organised ZIP file.
Custom Dimensions
Not restricted to platform sizes. Set any width and height independently to export non-square animated GIFs. The dimensions auto-fill from the first frame, so you only need to adjust when necessary.
Frame Rate Control
Adjust the animation speed from 1 to 60 frames per second. See the total duration update in real time. A live preview lets you play, pause, and inspect your animation before exporting.
Production-Quality Encoding
Powered by sharp (libvips) with Floyd-Steinberg dithering, 256-colour palette optimisation, and automatic alpha cleanup. The result is a clean, smooth GIF with no colour fringing around transparent areas.

Windows Security Notice: When you first run EmoteShowcase on Windows, you may see a SmartScreen warning that says "Windows protected your PC." This is normal for applications that are not digitally signed. Click "More info" then "Run anyway" to launch the application. This step is only required on the first run.
