Important: GIF Resizer is a plugin for EmoteShowcase — a Windows desktop application. It is not standalone software. You must own EmoteShowcase to use this plugin. If you do not own it yet, purchase it here first.
What Is GIF Resizer?
GIF Resizer scales animated GIFs to any custom size while keeping every single frame, the exact per-frame timing, and the loop intact. Ordinary image resizers flatten a GIF to its first frame and throw the animation away — this plugin doesn't. Drop in an animated emote you already exported and get a perfectly resized animated version in seconds, powered by high-quality libvips scaling.
Key Features
True Animated Resizing
Every frame is resized and re-encoded together, so timing and looping stay exactly as in the original. No dropped frames, no flattening to a static image.
Any Custom Size
Set any width and height in pixels. Toggle the aspect-ratio lock to keep proportions while you adjust a single dimension, or unlock for precise non-proportional sizing.
Fit Modes
Choose how each GIF fills the target box — Fill (stretch to exact size), Contain (fit inside, keep aspect with transparent padding), or Cover (crop to fill).
Batch & ZIP Output
Drop in as many GIFs as you like. Resize one and get a single .gif back; resize several and get them all packaged into one ready-to-send ZIP. Each output shows its final file size.

How to Get It
- If you do not own EmoteShowcase yet, purchase it on Itch.io (Windows only).
- Download and install the latest version of EmoteShowcase.
- Open the app and go to the Plugin Store from the toolbar.
- Find GIF Resizer and click Buy Now — a purchase popup powered by Itch.io appears inside the app.
- Complete the purchase and download the plugin .zip file.
- Go to Plugin Manager, click Install Plugin, and select the .zip file.
- The GIF Resizer view will appear in your tools. Drop in your animated GIFs and start resizing.
Windows Security Notice: When you first run EmoteShowcase on Windows, you may see a SmartScreen warning that says "Windows protected your PC." This is normal for applications that are not digitally signed. Click "More info" then "Run anyway" to launch the application. This step is only required on the first run.
